Data Protection Policy 

1. ENRC is the data controller and is responsible for holding your personal data.

2. Collecting your personal data 

When you provide ENRC with personal information, you consent to our use of your information in accordance with this privacy policy. You have supplied your personal details by completing our forms or by engaging in a telephone call or email with us. 

I may process certain types of data about you as follows:

  1. Identity data: may include first name, maiden name, last name, marital name, title, date of birth and gender

  2. Contact data: may include your home address, horse’s address, billing address, email address and telephone number

  3. Financial data: may include details of your bank account, Paypal account and payment card details

  4. Transaction data: may include details about payments between us and other details of purchases made by you

  5. Other data: may include photographs of you and /or your horse

3. Your personal data is necessary for performance of a contract with you. It enables ENRC to provide a direct service to you, and both holding it and processing it assists ENRC to give you the best service we can.

Most of our data is stored to enable ENRC to meet it's business demands, e.g., maintaining records of client consultations and recording our financial payments.

4. ENRC will only use your personal data as legally permitted and the main reason we use your data is to provide the service you have requested, including contacting you.

I may use your personal data to process demographic information, and where there is a legitimate interest to facilitate business aims and processes.

Only when consent is given will client names and comments be used on social media, or our website. 

I do not receive or share your personal data with any third parties apart from where you have given consent e.g. for us to discuss your horse’s case with your veterinarian or other health professional. Should this be necessary we will anonymise your personal details when discussing your case.  

I will share your data if I am required to do so by law e.g. by court order or to prevent fraud or other crime.

5. Data security and retention

ENRC will do everything in it's power to ensure your data is secure, it is never made public and appropriate measures are in place to prevent your data from being accidentally used, accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

ENRC will retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. By law, we have to keep basic information about our clients for seven years after they cease being clients for tax purposes.

6. Your legal rights 

You have rights under data protection laws to any of the data listed below. Before this can be done ENRC may need to verify your identity for your security and in such cases we will need you to respond with proof of your identity before you can exercise these rights:

  1. The right to access your personal data

  2. The right to correct and/or update your personal data

  3. The right to have your personal data erased from our records

  4. The right to object to how your personal data is processed

  5. The right to request transfer of your personal data if there is no longer a justification for it

  6. The right to withdraw consent

If you wish to exercise any of the rights laid out above, please contact ENRC by email or by post. ENRC will aim to respond to your request within one month. Occasionally it may take longer, in which case we will notify you and keep you updated. No fee will be incurred for the first request, but subsequent requests for the same data will be subject to an administration fee.

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact me in the first instance and I will try to resolve it for you.

If you are unhappy with myr response, you can complain direct to the Information Commissioner’s Office (the ICO).
